What they say about touring Rome
by golf cart with us
Tom and Debbie Armstrong
Hello
Paolo,
Were just
returned from our European vacation and cruise and I
wanted to write and thank you so much for your kindness,
professionalism, and flexibility. I wanted to give
others my highest recommendation for your service.
On October
18th, 2011 we arrived in Rome Italy, 4 days prior to our
European cruise to acclimate and see Rome. While
visiting the catacombs the first day, my wife twisted
her knee making walking difficult. While searching for
tours, I discovered Paolo's website,
www.mybesttour.com
and was so thankful I did. He offers many modes and
types of tours, one of which is by golf cart. Paolo was
no less than amazing. He was so accommodating and
flexible when discussing what we wanted to see
and do. I told him what our situation was, what we desired
to do and asked him for a tour on the evening of the
very day I called him. We also asked for a Vatican tour
the next day. I was so happy he had an opening! He
took my cell phone number and handled every detail. He
showed up precisely on time, and when the tour was over,
he returned us to the front door of our hotel. The tour
by golf cart was fantastic! Every one says to see Rome,
you should really walk the city. The golf cart
experience is, in my opinion, better. You cover
more ground and get to go to places one would only
discover after living in Rome for many years. You feel
as if you are walking as Paolo takes you down streets
and avenues no bus could ever go. Some were just wide
enough to get the cart through! He is also able to take
you so close to the sites, you have only a few steps
left and you are there. You really get to experience
Rome when you are with Paolo. His family has been
in business since 1948 I believe.....and he does his job
so well. His English is also impeccable and his
narration was an education in culture, history, and the
art of Rome.
His knowledge was very broad and Paolo
answered any question we asked. We started with a 3
hour tour, but I must say, I asked him to continue and
the 4 and 1/2 hours went by so fast. The experience
really was like going on a walk of Rome with an old
friend. Forget the canned bus tours, this is the
only way I will go if I return to Rome and
recommend it not only for the handicapped, but for
everyone! I also explained to Paolo our desire to see
the Vatican, but with my wife in her condition, that
wasn't going to happen. He arranged a tour with a young
woman named Silvia....who brought a wheelchair with
her! Paolo found a place that would rent him a
chair for the day and made all the arrangements, we just
showed up at the Vatican. Silvia was a scholar. She
was also just as punctual, friendly and as kind and
considerate as Paolo. For instance, she made sure we
had a cab back to our hotel before she left and
explained to the driver were we needed to return. Her
knowledge of the Vatican was equally incredible and we
heard so much more than the canned tours that streamed
by us. During our vacation, I found myself recommending
Paolo to all cruise ship passengers when discussing
Rome. His website says, "an unforgettable
experience".......nothing could have been more true.
Thank you Paolo!!!!
Ciao
Paolo!

Please
confirm that we can arrange transportation from our ship
(Carnival) and let us know how many carts you recommend.
I will let you know the exact date as soon as it is
confirmed.
Thank
you,

www.cruisecritic.com about your wonderful tour! I
will continue to check and try to have everyone try your
tour.
My mother wrote a review for you in Japanese. I have it
attached.
We are busy telling our friends and coworkers about your

Roberto & Paolo,
Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you that your
tour of Rome was the highlight of our trip. We so
appreciate your listening to our wants and making them
happen. The golf cart is the perfect way to get around
and I have told everyone back home what a great method
of travel. You honestly get the feel of both the ancient
and modern intersection of cultures when you can feel
the air in your face and feel “in the moment”. Your
expertise was evident and your passion about what makes
your city so great made the experience even more
enjoyable.
We look forward to coming back to Italy and will contact
you once our plans have firmed up.
Thanks again,
Carolyn and Mike

Simon & Tyler
Simon & Tyler were in Rome in the month
of August 2011 and, and they say in this video, they had
a great time touring Rome by golf cart.
Dr. Andrea Gonzales
My two daughters (9
and 12) and I spent a day touring Rome with Roberto.
I'll have to admit I was a bit leery when he showed up
in a golf cart, considering the crazy Rome traffic, but
it turned out great. The weather was nice, and the golf
cart was able to zip down the cobblestone streets where
a car couldn't enter. People waved and smile as we
zoomed by, and my girls felt like celebrities. Roberto's
tour was complete without being overwhelming, and we
thoroughly enjoyed his insight (and excellent English).
I highly recommend using Roberto if you're headed to
Rome. I hope to tour the countryside with him on my next
trip with the hubbie!
My sister, brother and
sister-in-law and I had a wonderful tour of Rome with
Paolo. We were leery of the idea of golf cart tour, but
scheduled a four hour tour around the city. The golf
cart turned out to be ideal. It was so open we felt like
we were in the city, like we could reach out and touch
it. Visibility from the golf cart was great, and it was
easier to get on and off the cart than into and out of a
car. The golf cart allowed us to drive into places we
couldn't get to in a car, and we saw much more of the
city than we would have walking (and it saved our feet).
It rained part of the day, but the golf cart cover kept
us mostly dry, and allowed us to keep going. Driving all
over on our first day gave us a good orientation for the
city, and we were able to pick out sites we wanted to
visit again.
Paolo was so knowledgeable and personable, that at the
end of our first four hours, even though it was a budget
stretcher, we extended the tour another four hours, to
go out to the catacombs. Our tour was well worth the
cost, and we would highly recommend Paolo.

Hi, Paolo,
We just returned to the U.S. on
Tuesday, and I wanted to send an email to say thanks
again. The tour we took with you was one of the
highlights of our trip!
